I've been pushing pixels since the dawn of 1998. When I first started, a friend of mine asked if I could remove a person out of an existing photo. I grabbed my copy of Adobe Photo Deluxe (that came free with my scanner) and went to town. Next thing I knew that person was gone! I was hooked and that sparked a whole new adventure in my life: computer graphics!
After performing surgery on broken pixels for a few years – designing logos, flyers, biz cards, and retouching photos – I started to yearn for my work to "come to life". I always had a passion for broadcast graphics, and every time I watched a movie trailer, news intro, or football game, I was glued to the screen. Seeing those graphics move around with all those particles and shiny lighting effects took me to a different place. And that's where I headed: motion graphics.
In 2003, I asked my local church if I could animate some of their Photoshop designs in order to make a "trailer of sorts" for the morning announcements. One project lead to another, and the next thing you know I had a contract with GracewayMedia.com (back then, PowerPointSermons.com) to do the very same thing for a living! It was an amazing, fun ride.
Since then, I've worked with many clients and have been very blessed to have worked on several motion graphic projects for: Radiate Films / ESPN-Chick-fil-A Mascot Movers Bowl / Chick-fil-A (HQ) / Veggie Tales: Live Christmas Tour / Compassion INTL / ShareFaith.com / and many others.
Although I mainly focus on print design and event photography for corporations and small businesses, I always prefer to bring graphics to life – even if it's in my imagination. Motion design is just in my blood. In the meantime, If you're in the need for graphic design, event photography, motion graphics (or all of the above!), let's talk. I'd love to meet you.
